Application note SPVG formerly SuperVAG How to get the new transponder and how to assign it to the car |
Required equipment :
- SPVG formerly SuperVAG
- Transponder programmer (needed for SMART KEY system)
- Add-on device SVG149 (needed for situation when All key lost POGO PINS)
- Online internet connection (needed for SMART KEY system)
Application :
- Cars VW, Skoda, SEAT – models 2009 – 2012 -2015 (USA -2018)*
* depends on facelift of appropriate vehicle model
Description:
SPVG introduced new methods on learning the keys. There are two different methods on how to add a key (Flip key and Smart key).
Vehicle with flip key
- Start by cutting blank keys
- Set the communication with the immobilizer system (key programming)
- Select Key programming (NO PIN needed)
- Check the type of transponder. If SPVG says TP22..TP25 needed then program the blank TP48 transponder to appropriate variant (Audi, Volkswagen, Skoda, Seat)
- Confirm you have key prepared
- Enter the number of keys to be programmed (e.g. 2 or +1).
- Follow the instruction in SPVG and on dashboard (0-2, 1-2, …)
- Set the communication with remote control system (remote programming)
- Make sure you have all the car remotes with you
- Select Remote control programming
- All remotes needs to be programmed together (no +1 option, all non present remotes will be erased)
- Check the function of keys and remotes.
Vehicle with SMART key
- Cut the blank SMART key first.
- Set the communication with the immobilizer system (key programming)
- Select Key programming (Kessy)
- Check the type of transponder. If SPVG says TP22..TP25 needed then program the blank TP48 transponder to appropriate variant (Audi, Volkswagen, Skoda, Seat)
- Confirm you have key prepared
- Enter the number of keys to be programmed (e.g. 2 no +1 option). All keys need to be programmed at the same time
- Follow the instruction in SPVG and on dashboard (0-2, 1-2, …)
- Program remotes follow instructions displayed in SPVG
- Check the function of keys and remotes.
